 Blaue Reiter

The Blaue Reiter (Blue Riders) group of artists was established in Munich in 1911. Wassily Kandinsky was one of the founders. Other well-known artists that were part of it were Franz Marc, August Macke[?], Gabriele Münter[?] and Paul Klee. An extensive collection of paintings by the Blaue Reiter group is exhibited in the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus[?] in Munich.
