The Bourne shell, or sh, is the original and perhaps the simplest Unix shell, developed by Stephen Bourne. It remains a popular default shell for Unix accounts. The binary program of Bourne shell is located at /bin/sh on most Unix systems.See also Bourne-Again shell.
