Bradford, EnglandBradford is a city in the north of England in the county of West Yorkshire. From an entry in the Domesday Book "IIlbert hath it - it is a waste" Bradford has grown to a population of 486,400. Bradford-Leeds is now England's 4th largest metropolitan area. It has a large number of recent immigrants, and approximately 19% of the population are from ethnic minority groups.It is home to the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. Bradford was the birthplace of the writers J. B. Priestley and John Braine and the composer Frederick Delius. Priestley is commemorated by a statue in the city. Wm Morrison Supermarkets also originated in Bradford.
