Brecksville is located at 41°18'36" North, 81°37'44" West (41.309904, -81.628894)1.According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 50.8 km² (19.6 mi²). 50.8 km² (19.6 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 13,382 people, 5,033 households, and 3,754 families residing in the city. The population density is 263.5/km² (682.4/mi²). There are 5,206 housing units at an average density of 102.5/km² (265.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 94.87% White, 1.91% African American, 0.03% Native American, 2.56% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.53% from two or more races. 1.02% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.There are 5,033 households out of which 32.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.2% are married couples living together, 6.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.4% are non-families. 22.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 3.02.
