GeographyCamp Douglas is located at 43°55'16" North, 90°16'12" West (43.921199, -90.269923)1.According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.5 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.5 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there are 592 people, 242 households, and 154 families residing in the village. The population density is 240.6/km² (621.9/mi²). There are 264 housing units at an average density of 107.3/km² (277.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.64% White, 0.17% African American, 1.01% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.17% from other races, and 0.68% from two or more races. 1.69% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.There are 242 households out of which 35.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.2% are married couples living together, 11.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.0% are non-families. 30.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.45 and the average family size is 3.08. In the village the population is spread out with 29.6% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 30.4% from 25 to 44, 19.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 94.9 males. The median income for a household in the village is $39,583, and the median income for a family is $44,038. Males have a median income of $31,324 versus $21,607 for females. The per capita income for the village is $17,919. 2.8% of the population and 2.6% of families are below the poverty line. Thursday, October 15th.--Dreamed last night came to New York, found

Sunday, October 18th.--Alone in camp--junction of Nascaupee and
head of Grand Lake, 33 miles. For two days past we have travelled
about 11 miles below here, 12 miles (approximately) below that
lard. We counted on all these to help us out in our effort to
Blake's trapping camp and cache. On Thursday as stated, I busted.
