College of Creative Studies
The College of Creative Studies (CCS) is a college within the University of California, Santa Barbara, founded as an experiment in alternative education by Marvin Mudrick[?] in 1967. CCS specializes in independent study in the arts and sciences and has programs in art, biology, chemistry, computer science, literature, mathematics, music composition[?] and physics. All of its programs and faculty teachers are considered world-class and CCS has educated a host of distinguished alumni.
