Mnemonic aid : How to learn lines

A mnemonic aid is a tool to aid memory. It can aid in learning lines for a play, for example. For instance suppose you had to learn:

'To be or not to be,
That is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or take arms against a sea of troubles'

You could reduce this down to:

'2 b / n 2 b
L s l ?
W t n n l m 2 s
L s & a / o f
/ t m a a c / t'

This gives a phoenetic representation of the text which may be easier to learn.

This Posthumus, That had a royal lover, took his hint; He was as calm as virtue,--he began And then a mind put in't, either our brags Prov'd us unspeaking sots. CYMBELINE. Your daughter's chastity.html">chastity--there it begins. And she alone were cold; whereat I, wretch, Pieces of gold 'gainst this which then he wore In suit the place of's bed and win this ring No lesser of her honour confident And would so, had it been a carbuncle Been all the worth of's car. Away to Britain Remember me at court, where I was taught 'Twixt amorous and villainous. being.html">Being thus quench'd Gan in your duller Britain operate And, to be brief, my practice so prevail'd, To make the noble Leonatus mad, With tokens thus, and thus; averring notes O cunning, how I got it!--nay, some marks But think her bond of chastity quite crack'd, Methinks, I see him now-- POSTHUMUS. [Advancing.] Ay, so thou dost, Egregious murderer, thief, anything To come! O, give me cord, or knife, or poison, For torturers ingenious; it is I By being worse than they. I am Posthumus, That caused a lesser villain than myself, Of Virtue was she; yea, and she herself. The dogs o' the street to bay me; every villain Be villainy less than 'twas! O.
