Geography
Junction is located at 37°43'22" North, 88°14'17" West (37.722726, -88.237973)1.According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 139 people, 66 households, and 43 families residing in the village. The population density is 60.3/km² (156.7/mi²). There are 75 housing units at an average density of 32.5/km² (84.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 96.40% White, 0.00% African American, 2.88% Native American, 0.72% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 2.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.There are 66 households out of which 25.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.5% are married couples living together, 18.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.8% are non-families. 33.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 19.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.11 and the average family size is 2.65.
