The racial makeup of the city is 82.48% White, 4.30% African American, 3.89% Native American, 5.05% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.88% from other races, and 3.36% from two or more races. 2.50% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.There are 15,604 households out of which 20.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.1% are married couples living together, 7.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 53.1% are non-families. 34.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 6.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
